I'm just back from my summer holidays. I had a great, relaxing time and loved chilling out on the beach and getting a tan. As ever I had saved some money to take with me. I knew I was going to be going to Sephora, which we don't have in the UK, so I had prepared myself! I thought I would share with you some of the things I picked up whilst I was away.
The amazing colours in Sephora always draw me in. I spend ages swatching different colours but in the end I settled for Flirting Game. This is a pretty bronzey/taupe colour with pink undertones. It is so gorgeous and I thought it would be perfect to sweep all over the lid for a simple but pretty look. I love this eyeshadow and wore it every night from getting it.
When I was away I didn't have an exfoliator with me. I exfoliate my skin quite a lot at home and it's really vital to exfoliate the skin to maintain a tan. Whilst in Sephora I spotted the Express Body Scrub & Mask. This is a really unique product that can be used as a traditional body scrub or can be applied to dry skin, left on for 1 minute and then washed for a more intense effect. It contains fruit acids as well as manual exfoliators.
I also decided to get a new moisturiser. I haven't really bought a facial moisturiser in a while and have been using ones I have in my collection. The Sephora Anti-Blemish Mattifying Moisturiser caught my eye. It contains salycic acid to help keep the skin clear, it's mattifying however it is also very moisturising. Perfecto!
I found a little boutique make up shop that sold lots of hard to find brands or brands which aren't readily available in the UK. I spotted NYX and bought two things, one being an eyebrow pencil which is an everyday essential and also the NYX Full Coverage Concealer. I think this will be great for blemishes and I love the cute little pot!
I have heard so many people rave about this foundation, especially on YouTube so I realised Sephora stocked it, I wanted to try it out. I am so glad I did because I am IN LOVE with this foundation. It's so light and natural looking but gives great coverage. I will definitely do a review of this soon. I got it in the shade N125.
Whilst I was away my nail polish chipped from being in and out of the sea carrying suitcases. I hate having chipped nails and had to go out and buy a nail polish to re-done my nails so they were perfect again. I went for Watermelon by Essie. It is a gorgeous raspberry pink. I heart Essie polishes so this was a nice addition to my collection and it saved my nails :)
Finally whilst I was away I bought some jewellery. I there was little stalls in the little town we were staying in where local traders could seller their goods. As soon as I laid my eyes on this rose gold and silver bracelet I just knew I had to have it. I love it and it complements my skin tone nicely.
The last thing I purchased as this beautiful rose gold and diamante starfish charm from Thomas Sabo. I wear my Thomas Sabo pearl bracelet a lot and thought this little starfish charm would make the perfect addition. I have been stacking my too bracelets together as the rose gold looks great.
So there is my holiday haul. Back to reality and work on Monday!
