London Beauty Haul

Two weeks ago I got the chance to go to London for work and of course the first thing I thought about was making time to go shopping! Luckily after all my work obligations were over I had a good few hours to look around the shops. Coming from Glasgow were the shopping is just ok, London feels like a shopping mecca, especially for beauty products!

Before I went I had made a mental list of the shops I wanted to visit. Selfridges, Liberty and Victoria's Secret being top of my list as we don't have any of them up in Scotland. Here is what I got on my visit...

Ever since Charlotte Tilbury released her make up range I have been lusting after it. When I saw he counter in Selfridges I just had to get some bits and pieces. This was compounded by the fact that one of the make up artists had just finished doing a women's make up and it looked stunning!

Charlotte Tilbury released make up for 10 iconic looks and The Uptown Girl was definitely may favourite. The eyeshadow palette is gorgeous. The shadows are silky and pigmented and blend out seamlessly. This palette has all the colours need for a gorgeous neutral/grey smokey eye.

This blusher is also part of The Uptown Girl look and is such a pretty pinky peach colour. This blush is insanely pigmented so a little goes a long way. You can use the outer colour for all over the cheeks and the middle colour for a pop of colour on the apples of the checks. This also, as the name suggests, gives you a gorgeous glow to the cheekbones.

I am in love with this lipstick. It is the perfect pinky nude or 'your lips but better' shade. It is moisturising, lasts well on the lips and is so easy to wear. I have been wearing this non stop. The rose gold packaging is also to die for! It also has a nice sheen to it which makes the lips look fuller. I don't think I have found a more perfect lipstick.

Kiko is a brand that I first came across in Rome. It is an inexpensive brand and when you walk in to their stores you are mesmerises by the vast array of colours! These pencil lip glosses are creamy and shiny and the too nude colours are great for just chucking on on their own. I would say these are more like a lipstick than lip gloss as the colour pay off is nice.

These lip pencils are smooth and glossy and help lip colour or glosses stay on longer. These pencils are nice and creamy and again I went for two neutral colours. You can tell I was really feeling the nude lip that week!

When I was in Selfridges I had to pick up some of the cutest lip balms ever! I bought the EOS lips balms when I was last in the states and the UK version, Balmi, just isn't the same so I bought a few for myself and some for my friends. These lip balms smell delicious and are so soothing and nourishing for the lips. Putting these lip balms on is addictive, be warned!

Ok so I didn't actually buy this in London but I thought I would include it along with the other EOS products. I ordered this shaving cream online and it just so happened to arrive when I got home. This is a really moisturising shaving cream which leaves your legs smooth and nourished without irritation.

I also picked up the Benefit Gimme Some Lovin' set, that I talked about in my last post, at the airport. So over all it was a great trip, I loved getting to visit London and was lucky enough to have the opportunity to go through work. I love the buzz of the city!
