5 Products......For A Glowing Complexion

After the Christmas and New Year festivities our complexion can be left looking a bit dull, grey and lifeless. I know all the chocolate, over indulging and central heating over the festive period has left my skin looking a bit lacklustre. As the new year begins we all want to get healthy and glowing.

This is the first post in my new '5 Products...' series. Over the next month or so I will share with you five products that help achieve certain things such as luscious lips, full lashes, smooth skin etc. Today  I am sharing five amazing products that will help you get glowing complexion and make your skin look healthy for 2014....

Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner

This toner by Clarins contains fruit acids and enzymes which will get rid of dead skin cells, leaving the skin healthy and fresh looking. Getting rid of dead skin cells is essential for a glowing complexion and will make such a difference. This toner is gentle yet effective. I use this once or twice a week after cleansing my face, rubbing it all over my face and neck using a large cotton pad. A similar product would be the Pixi Glow Tonic.

Water

Ok so this isn't exactly a product however water is a necessity if you want you skin to look good and to glow from within. Drinking 1.5 to 2 litres of water per day will ensure your skin stays hydrated and in turn looking healthy. Water really helps to flush out impurities and leave the skin bright and plump.  I like to add some lemon to my water to add some extra flavour and boost its healthy effects.

Origins Ginzing Energy Boosting Moisturiser

This moisturiser is described as an espresso shot for your skin. It contains refreshing and brightening ingredients and in addition it has a very very subtle shimmer to it which adds radiance to the skin as well as moisture. This moisturiser is £23 which is a really great price for an Origins face cream. I also have the Ginzing eye cream which I love. This really does help to brighten my under eye area and is nice to apply before concealer.

Chanel Le Blanc De Chanel Sheer Illuminating Base

This is a beautiful product by Chanel which can be applied to the skin before foundation, mixed with foundation or applied after foundation on tops of the cheekbones. It contains light reflecting particles which give the illusion a brighter glowing complexion. The effect this leaves on the skin is very natural and subtle. Beautiful. A similar product would be MAC's Strobe Cream.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette

This amazing palette contains three of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders (Dim light, Incandescent light and Radiant Light). These powders capture, diffuse and soften the way light is reflected on the skin. This instantly brightens and perfects the complexion and gives the skin this gorgeous candlelight glow. I use Dim Light lightly dusted all over my face, Incandescent Light on the tops of my cheekbones and Radiant Light on the apples of my cheeks or if I want a more bronzed glow.

So there are my 5 top products to achieve a healthy glowing complexion. Healthy looking skin...check. Now to work on the healthy looking body!
