Whilst on a pre Christmas shopping trip with my best friend I happened to wander over to the Chanel counter in Debenhams. Browsing the make up, I was instantly draw to one of their Chanel Rouge Allure lipsticks. I just knew it had to be mine. Two minutes later I sheepishly found my friend admitting I had just made an impulse purchase but unlikely so many others I definitely don't regret buying this beauty.
The lipstick that caught my eye was 217 Radieuse which is a pretty soft pink. This is the epitome of what I class as the perfect pink. It is just pink enough, not too bright, not too pale. This is my first ever Chanel lipstick and I have got to admit....I've been drawn in. The pretty sleek packaging, the click and pop up to open motion, the embosses Chanel on the lipstick. Like I said with the Tom Ford lipsticks, it just oozes luxuriousness.
The texture of this lipstick is soft and buttery. It glides on and leaves a pretty satin sheen to the lips. It is moisturising and pigmented, everything you could every want in a lipstick. The colour is so wearable which you want from an expensive lipstick. I have been wearing this a lot! To work, on nights out, going for lunch. It is just a great staple lipstick, a bit like the LDB.
Chanel's lipstick colour range is insane with so many to choose from. I'm obsessed but at £25 a pop, it isn't a cheap obsession. Everything in moderation ladies!
I have just spied their new Notes De Printemp collection which has left me so excited. There is definitely at least two lipsticks from the collection that I need in my life so watch this space!
