Today I'm sharing with you one of the prettiest Essie polishes I have come across, Fiji.
This polish is probably one of the most talked about Essie colours and I have admired and flirted with the idea of buying it for a long time. However, I would always talk myself out of it buy saying, "Gillian do you really need another pale pink Essie polish? You already have Ballet Slippers, Baby's Breath and Marabou". This would content me for another few months. That was until I read Laura from Buy Now, Blog Later's (aka lollipop26) post pale pink/gold tip nails and knew I had to buy it. Much like every other item she features on her beautiful blog.
24 hours later I found myself in Boots on my lunch break paying for the newest addition to my pale pink Essie family. Of course as any nail polish addict would do, I went straight home that night and painted my nails......
......and I heart the outcome!
Fiji is a a very pale creamy pink shade which looks uber flattering on all skin tones. I love the the Essie polishes from Boots as they have the thicker brush which makes application easy peasy. The formula of Fiji is much better than my Ballet Slippers polish and isn't streaky at all, but is nice and opaque.
OPI Nail Envy, two coats of Fiji and a healthy coating of Seche Vite Topcoat and my mani was done. Simple.
And that is what I love about this polish. It is such a simple yet sophisticated polish. It goes with everything and although it is not a bright in your face polish it some how catches people's eye. I always know that I truly love a polish when I can't stop looking at my nails and this is certainly one of them.
As I said I picked mine up from Boots but you can find Essie polishes at Superdrug and online really easily. If you are looking for a pretty pale pink that will make you fall in love then head for Fiji!
Oh and happy Valentine's Day! I saw this quote from none other than Carrie Bradshaw and thought it was rather appropriate.
