Last week I watched one of Vivianna Does Makeup's YouTube videos. It was a Sephora Haul and when she mentioned that Sephora now deliver to the UK I nearly fell off my seat. Yes, I may be a later comer to this news but as soon as she enlightened me I just had to pause her video and go online shopping! I love Sephora, it is the beauty mecca and as we don't have one here in Scotland, let alone the UK, I always visit one when I can abroad. Well, within 10 minutes of finding out this news I had placed my Sephora order and was beyond excited to received it. Here is what I got...
First on my list was the Glam Glow ThirstyMud Hydrating Treatment. Ever since hearing the American girls rave about this months ago I have been dying to try this face mask but it is unfortunately not yet out here in the UK. I have the Glam Glow Supermud Clearing Treatment which I love so am so excited to try this hydrating mask. Although I don't have dry skin, it can get dehydrated (there is a difference!) often. You better believe I will be chillaxing with this on tonight. I will let you know how I find it!
Secondly I stocked up on my Holy Grail foundation, the Make Up For Ever HD Foundation. I first tried this out last summer and it was hands down the best foundation I had ever tried, knocking my previous favourite, Armani Luminous Silk, off the top spot. You can read my full review here. I got the shade 125 which is perfect for my colouring. I am currently using L'Oreal True Match foundation, which I like so I will use that first then crack this bad boy open.
I also decided to get the new Clinique Cheek Pop in Berry Pop. I know these are literally just out here in the UK but I couldn't wait for them to hit store this Friday and went ahead and order one. There blushes are so adorable with an embossed flower design. They are bright pops of colour and have a gorgeous satin finish to them rather than being matte or glittery. I couldn't decided between Berry Pop and Plum Pop but decided on Berry Pop after hearing LisaLisaD1 talk about how pretty it was in one of her YouTube videos. Only from swatching this blush I can say that it is pigmented but not overly so therefore you can build it up as required. I'm sure this will be one of my summer beauty staples.
Finally I ordered the Tarte Bamboo Powder Foundation Brush. I recently purchased the Laura Mercier Mineral Powder and needed a really good buffing brush to use it will. This brush is perfect as it is so densely packed. This brush was designed to be used with the Tarte Amazonian Clay Airbrush Foundation Powder, which I would also like to try out. I will give this a go tomorrow and see how it works out. It feels incrediably soft on the skin from first impressions.
I signed up for the Sephora Beauty Insider which is a loyalty scheme which awards points for every dollar that you spend. You then get to choose a free gift with your points. I chose a mini Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara which is a handy size my handbag. I also got to choose 3 further samples.
If you spend over £75 then there is a flat shipping rate of £10 which includes all delivery and customs charges. I placed my order last Wednesday and it arrived today so that was exactly a week which isn't too bad coming from the US. I was also able to track it all the way here which was handy. Overall I was really impressed with the Sephora UK delivery service and would definitely shop online again, however perfumes and some other brands cannot be shipped to the UK, I found this out when I tried to order some Jose Maran products.
I think my make up addiction is about to get a whole lot worse thanks to Sephora!
