Hey, well it has been a minute!
This is my first post since April :O Sorry for my absence but sometimes as a blogger you just need to take some time out to regain some inspiration. Following a conversation with one of my best friends and fellow beauty blogger/professional make up artist Alice (from Alice Through The Beauty Glass) I decided I definitely didn't want to give up on my blog, so here I am with a new post :)
I recently bought the most gorgeous bronzer from Clarins. It is from their Colours of Brazil summer collection so, yes, that means that unfortunately it is limited edition. I must admit that I haven't been following the World Cup but I am definitely all for the beautiful Brazilian bronzed looked.
The Clarins Colours of Brazil Summer Bronzing Compact is so pretty. Firstly the compact is huge, much larger than your average bronzer. It has a mixture of matte colours along with a tiny hint of golden shimmer. When swirled together you get a lovely natural looking colour than gives a satin finish once on the skin.
I adore the packaging and the embossed print on the product itself. The good thing about this bronzer is that it is very natural and buildable. You can add a hint of tan or go all out bronzed goddess.
I have been applying the bronzer all over my face and décolletage using the Vintage Cosmetic Company Large Powder Brush. I am in love with the brush. It is massive but fits the size of this compact perfectly. It is dense enough yet fluffy enough, giving the perfect finish; plus it is super soft.
As the weather heats up, I have been wearing a bronzed glowy make up look more and more. Lots of bronzer, a warm shimmering eyeshadow all over the lid, lashes and a nude glossy lip. Done.
My quick tips for applying bronzer are
- use a large fluffy powder brush
-apply to the areas that the sun would naturally hit such as forehead, cheeks, bridge of nose and chin
-for a more contoured look sweep over the face in a 3 shaped motion covering the temples, cheeks and jawline
-blend, blend, blend
-always start with a light touch and build up if necessary
I would love to hear your recommendations on the best products for a bronzed glow, so if you have any then leave a comment below :)
